Waspians -

This is just a placeholder to share your thoughts. As we grow it is important to have a stable and efficient ranking system.

Share your thoughts on what the system of promotions should look like and most importantly how do we keep track of ones contributions without spending a lot of time.

Promotion from Grunt to Barbarian rank is time based (one week) and anything after that should be merit based IMHO.

I have a few Ideas:

1. Minimum # of times participating in Guild Missions

2. Minimum # of posts on this site

3. Minimum # of time spent on TS (with or w/o mic)

4. Have a vote among the existing Leaders/Officers - simple yes or no for whether or not they advocate the person in question's promotion

5. General Attitude

6. Not sure how to quantify this, but - # of times helping underprivileged guildies out

7.  Minimum # of dungeon runs w/ guild

8. Minimum # of Dungeon Photos with full party of WASP members

I would like the title of Grand Inquisitor of Wasp, Tormentor Of Charr, Keeper of the Asura, Herald of the Sauce Boss as my rank. But all jokes aside (not joking Wink*) that's is not a bad idea. Couple of questions come to mind. Will our current rank structure support constant promotion and how often would we promote?

yea, in any job, there are certain criteria that are available to everyone for them to achieve a promotion. Its up to them whether they strive to get it or not. Cause there is nothing wrong w/ being a barbarian!

I mean, this is if we do want to make a systematic way of promoting people - which is probably the most utilitarian way to do it.

lol lets have a monthly review of each member. We can give everyone  self evaluation forms and we can assess on a scale of 1-5, 1 being unsatisfactory and 5 being extraordinary, their status on each category. 1 on 1 meeting between apollo and the employee to discuss how things are going and whether they deserve a promotion or not.  (lol i'm kidding)

Talked about this with Draven last night.  I think it would be an awesome idea if we had a rank that you get promoted to solely if you get on TS.  Or maybe, hopping on TS is a pre-requisite for advancing to the next level.

Draven suggested making a separate rank in between either grunt/barbarian or barbarian/whatever's next. He also mentioned that one of his previous guilds had a pre-requisite like this for advancing to a certain rank.

I think this is a great way to give people the incentive to join TS.
